About Myself

[Home]
Photography started for me when I took a simple B&W course at my high school. I was addicted after that. For years I wanted to take pictures, but never had a camera. Then I discovered Ebay.

In Early 2002 I bought a simple ancient Minolta 35mm SLR. It worked ok but one of the lenses I had was broken. So after 20 rolls of film that didn't look the way I wanted them to, I put the camera away. I began my search for a better camera. I weighed the pros and cons of 35mm film style shooting verses digital. Before I had fully made my decision I discovered the Minolta DiMAGE7i. I was sold. With almost all the film cost wrapped up in the initial investment all I needed was a computer, and the money to buy the camera. So early in 2003, with my tax return I bought the 5.2 mega-pixel camera that I wanted. I also bought a brand new computer for the pictures I would be taking. It seemed like my addiction had its fix. Not quite.

Now I had the equipment, all I had to figure out was what to shoot. I wanted models. So I asked friends and they asked their friends and soon I had several models to work with. I got my feet wet in the photo industry. I tried new areas of photography. I tried to do some art pictures. I tried to do some nature pictures. I even tried wedding photography.

I have many ideas that I want to express, even get a book out with my pictures as the main content. But for right now I am just happy taking pictures.
